This Privacy Policy explains how TrueAlpha ("TrueAlpha", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use this website, apply to the Founders Fellowship, join our community or attend our events. We process personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to run the Fellowship and stay in touch with you:

• Contact details you give us: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, city and LinkedIn profile.
• Application details: your background, your startup or idea, your stage, your availability, and anything else you choose to share in the form.
• Payment details, when fees are paid. Payments are handled by our payment partner; we do not store your card or bank details.
• How you found us: the referring page and campaign tags (such as utm_source) attached to the link you arrived from.
• Basic technical information sent by your browser, such as device type and pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.

How we use it

• To review your application, contact you about it, and run the selection process.
• To deliver the Fellowship, events and the 12 months of post-program support if you join.
• To send you updates about TrueAlpha programs and events, which you can opt out of at any time.
• To process payments and keep the records the law requires.
• To understand which channels bring founders to us, and to improve the website.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example hosting, email, payments and spreadsheet tools), under confidentiality obligations, and where the law requires it. With your consent, we may introduce you or your startup to mentors or investors as part of the Fellowship.

How long we keep it

We keep application data for as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected for, typically up to three years after your last interaction with us, and longer only where the law requires (for example, payment records).

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time. Write to hello@truealpha.vc, or WhatsApp 092203 37632 and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls on our application records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

The website uses only what it needs to work, such as remembering your theme choice and how you arrived, stored in your own browser. We do not use advertising cookies.
